1. General information
Moscow Cathedral mosque has been open since 1904. The building of the mosque has been renovated and was opened in 2015 with President of Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and mufti shayh Ravil Gaynutdin Nowdays Moscow Cathedral mosque is the biggest in the Moscow and it can be considered the main mosque in Russia.
Our guests have an opportunity to discover various exhibits represented in the Museum of Islam: model of the mosque made of Canadian granite, piece of Kiswa - hand-embroidered piece of the special veil from Kaaba, the Qur'an made of silver, box-storage for the Qur’an from India and copies of the oldest handwritten Quran from Tashkent and Istambul etc.
2. Opening hours and prices
The museum is open every day except Friday.
You can book any convenient session:

2 group: 11.15-12.15
3 group: 12.50-13.50
4 group: 14.50-15.50
5 group: 16.00-17.00
The tour starts in the administrative building at the sign “Excursion”.
We accept credit cards and cash (roubles only).

5. Rules for visitors
- Only the guides of the Moscow Cathedral mosque provide the excursion.
- It is not allowed to:
- take photo of the guide and other people in the mosque;
- wear the shoes in the mosque;
- enter fenced-off areas. - Follow dress requirements. In case of necessity you will be able to take a special gown on the entrance.
